The Bayport-Blue Point Teachers' Association (BBPTA) has been representing and promoting teachers interests in Bayport-Blue Point for more than 30 years.

The BBPTA is the certified bargaining agent for all teachers, guidance counselors, nurses and psychologists in the Bayport-Blue Point Schools.  The BBPTA represents members in contract negotiations and in other matters before the Board of Education and the community.  The BBPTA through its affiliates, the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), also represents members in educational issues throughout the state and the nation.
